Tips:how to use the spirit level
The bar level is a level commonly used by bench workers. The bar level is accurate in terms of the parallelism between the V-shaped bottom plane as the working plane and the level parallel to the working plane. When the bottom plane of the level gauge is placed at an accurate horizontal position, the bubbles in the level gauge are just in the middle (horizontal position). On both sides of the zero line marked on both ends of the bubble in the glass tube of the level, a scale of not less than 8 divisions is marked, and the spacing between the marks is 2mm. When the bottom plane of the level is slightly different from the horizontal position, that is, when the two ends of the bottom plane of the level are high and low, the bubbles in the level always move to the highest side of the level due to the gravity, which is the principle of the level. When the height of the two ends is similar, the bubble movement is not much. When the height difference between the two ends is large, the bubble movement is also large. The difference between the height of the two ends can be read on the scale of the level.
Precautions when using the level:
1. Before measurement, the measuring surface shall be carefully cleaned and wiped dry, and the measuring surface shall be checked for scratches, rust, burrs and other defects.
2. Before measurement, check whether the zero position is correct. If not, adjust the adjustable level and repair the fixed level.
3. During measurement, avoid the influence of temperature. The liquid in the level has a great influence on the temperature. Therefore, pay attention to the influence of hand heat, direct sunlight, and gas on the level.
4. In use, readings shall be taken at the position of the vertical level to reduce the influence of parallax on the measurement results.
